Piero D’Agostino taught acoustic guitar in some institutes of music in Turin, Italy. In 1985 he composed and performed the soundtrack for a short film, The Wait, which was aired on RAI 3. It was directed by Fulvio Richetto and produced in the RAI studios in Turin. A 20 piece Heidelberg guitar orchestra performed some of his compositions in various European cities from 2005 to 2008. Two of his compositions are included in the soundtrack for Buon Lavoro, which was directed by Marco Demurtas for Cinemascetti Produzioni and stars Giuliana de Sio, Giancarlo Giannini, Lina Sastris, Franco Nero, and Massimo Lopez. Also, Corrado Rustici, an internationally renowned producer and arranger, included Piero’s song, “Ice Sculptures,” on his album, For the Beauty of This Wicked World. “Ice Sculptures” was played by his brother and acclaimed acoustic guitar player, Peppino D’Agostino.
